The Huntsville Village Council addressed concerns for the condition of Lions Park Drive that runs along the park that has degraded in part by semi-tractor trailers using the “pit” for overnight parking.
Clerk/Treasurer Susan Yelton shared the new hours for the Huntsville Post Office that take affect May 18, with the window hours from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. The lobby will be open 24 hours for access to the mailboxes. Mail will be available for pickup by 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Mayor Jenkins told council he was questioned about opening up a gun shop within the village limits and said there are no zoning laws against it.
Fire Chief Tim Jenkins said the fire department received a $10,000 grant from the State Fire Marshal’s Office that will be used for a Class A Foam System for Engine 51.
