Logan County Art and Music Festival approaches

The Logan County Educational Service Center announces that the annual Logan County Art and Music Festival is slated for Friday, April 12, at Riverside High School.

This event is a joint effort of the music and art teachers in Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake and Riverside school districts.

The art show featuring student artwork from all grade levels is open from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The high school bands will perform various musical selections at 7:30 p.m. in the high school gym. At the conclusion of the concert, the three bands will perform under the direction of guest conductor Dr. Charles Bates, Ohio Northern University professor of music.

Guests are invited to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win various art baskets with student artwork. Tickets are one for $1 or six tickets for $5, with proceeds to be divided among three students from Riverside, Ben Logan and Indian Lake pursuing a college art degree.

The raffle ticket buyers will put their tickets into containers designated for a specific project. At the end of the art show, one winning ticket will be drawn for each basket.

Raffle projects will be displayed at the schools prior to the Art & Music Festival, and photos of the raffle projects also will be displayed at the Logan County Educational Service Center Web site,
