Today, more than ever, people are being cared for in their homes. In an effort to meet this growing trend, Green Hills Community is changing the name of a long-standing support group.
The monthly Alzheimer’s Support Group is now known as the Caregiver Support Group. The meeting time will remain the same, 2 p.m. on the third Monday of the month in the chapel located in the Community Center at Green Hills Community.
“There are so many people caring for an aging loved one at home that we decided to expand the group to include all caregivers,” said Brandy Bowers, assistant coordinator of community services, who leads the group. “The information that was being shared for Alzheimer’s caregivers is appropriate for all those who are caring for a loved one.
