KENTON — Two teens were hospitalized after a vehicle overturned and struck the side of a house at 535 E. Columbus Street in Kenton Monday afternoon.
The Findlay Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports a vehicle operated by a 17-year-old female from Kenton was traveling west on Columbus Street near Maple Street about 4:45 p.m. when it went off the right side of the road and struck a tree. The vehicle then overturned, struck a bush and then the side of the house.

The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was transported by BKP EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Passenger Ryan Austin Engle, 19, of Kenton, suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
A 16-year-old female passenger from Upper Sandusky also suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was transported by BKP EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital and was later transported to Toledo Children’s Hospital.
The driver and rear seat passenger were not wearing seat belts. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were the Kenton Police Department, Kenton Fire Department, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, BKP EMS and Osborn’s Towing.
