Authorities are investigating the death of a 40-year-old Indian Lake area woman after she was found unresponsive at her home March 4 and then passed away at an area hospital over the weekend.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to 8650 State Route 368, Lot 102 E, Huntsville, about 7:20 p.m. March 4 a report of a female subject who was found unresponsive in a bathroom.
Family members reportedly were performing CPR on the woman, Melisa C. Williams, when deputies arrived. Indian Lake squad members also performed CPR on her.
Drug paraphernalia was found in the bathroom.
According to Ms. Williams’ family members, she had just been released from prison earlier that day.
Indian Lake squad members transported Ms. Williams to Mary Rutan Hospital, and she was later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Sunday morning, deputies received information from Miami Valley Hospital officials that Ms. Williams had died.
