City man indicted for drug trafficking



CHAMPAIGN COUNTY — Area reports indicate Paul W. Lindsay, 31, of Bellefontaine, was indicted Thursday by Champaign County grand jury for trafficking in marijuana and possessing criminal tools stemming from a Feb. 10 incident.

According to the Urbana Police Division, Lindsay was pulled over for suspected drunk driving at 2:01 a.m. Thursday and reportedly resisted arrest.

During the traffic stop, police discovered alleged marijuana prepackaged as if for sale on his person and found more prepackaged marijuana, along with a set of digital scales. In all, police recovered more than 100 grams of marijuana during the stop.

Lindsay, also a registered sex offender, is on parole with an extensive criminal history including convictions for rape, sexual battery and corruption of a minor.

He also currently is facing multiple traffic charges including his third operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs charge and multiple driving under suspension charges, according to reports.

Other Bellefontaine residents indicted Thursday in Clark County include Tracy L. Fulkerson, 45, of 417 Garfield Ave., one count each of drug possession, attempted tampering with evidence and possessing drug abuse instruments; and Amy J. Young, 37, of 140 1/2 W. Sandusky Ave., one count each of possession of heroin and possession of criminal tools.
