Theodore W. Ward, 49, of 314 Blue St., DeGraff, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs following an incident Saturday afternoon.
His neighbor, Patricia Bellamy, 316 Blue St., DeGraff, reported about 2:35 p.m. that her neighbor had driven his pickup through her yard and struck her fence.
Deputies arrived at the scene and located Mr. Ward, who reportedly showed obvious signs of impairment.
During deputies’ investigation, the defendant was uncooperative. He was handcuffed and then reportedly had to be assisted to the patrol cruiser because of his level of impairment.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail, and while en route, he reportedly made threats to harm deputies. At the jail, he also made threats against corrections officers.
Mr. Ward refused to take a blood alcohol content test.
