Minor injuries reported in crash

Peggy Dawson, 63, of Jackson Center, was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign following a two-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report that she was operating a westbound vehicle on State Route 274 when she stopped at the stop sign at U.S. Route 33. She then proceeded into the intersection into the path of a northwestbound vehicle on U.S. 33 operated by Matthew Swygart, 41, of Rockford, resulting in the crash.

Ms. Dawson was treated at the scene by Huntsville EMS personnel for minor cuts to her fingers, and she was not transported. Mr. Swygart did not report any injuries.
