This year’s theme is “Look Beyond,” and the first event will be an in-service March 8 at the First Church of God, where the staff will focus on awareness and guest speakers will talk about self-advocacy.
The annual Elected Officials Breakfast is slated for 8 a.m. March 14 at the board office to thank elected officials and people who support the organization. Guest speakers will be John Martin, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities director, Logan County Family Court Judge Michael Brady, and Dustin Wickersham, Logan County Commissioners president.
The fourth annual Polar Plunge to support Special Olympics is March 16 at Indian Lake. Plungers are asked to raise a minimum of $75 to participate.
The Indian Lake Moose Lodge will serve as the headquarters for the Plunge event, and members will host a Post-Plunge Party with a costume contest that will cost $10 to attend. For more information, call 651-6308.
