A Grammy-nominated Christian rock band will kick off the 2013 Logan County Fair — and it won’t cost the fair board a cent.
Sanctus Real, a band that formed in Toledo in 1996, has recorded five albums on a major label and toured the nation multiple times since, will take the stage at 8 p.m. Monday, July 8, after the opening band Bread of Stone wraps up its set.
The decision was made Wednesday evening during a rescheduled regular meeting of the Logan County Fair Board.
And the entire evening is being made possible by the local radio station Shine FM and its station manager Mark Boyer. In honor of the contribution, the radio station will be sponsor for the day, said Fair Board member Shelley Stephenson, who is organizing entertainment for the fair.
