Eight months in, new owners continue Eichholtz tradition

Some business ownership transitions are so smooth and natural it hardly seems worth mentioning.

Last June, the Eichholtz Funeral Home chain began a transfer from Jeffrey Smith and Rush “Bud” Eichholtz to Dennis Sanford and Trey Daring.
Mr. Smith has retired while Mr. Eichholtz remains somewhat active with the business.
“We kind of discussed this for many years,” said Mr. Daring.
