Chris Clark, director of the Logan County Water Pollution Control, addressed rumors of a sewer rate increase during Tuesday’s regular meeting of the Huntsville Village Council.
Mr. Clark assured council that no rate increase was imminent and broke down the current $41 monthly rate as $24.59 for debt service of Huntsville’s sewer system plus $16.41 for district operation and maintenance costs. He also said the LCWPC has contracted with Buschur Electric to install a 50-kilowatt generator for the Huntsville pump station that will automatically start the generator when power drops. The $29,000 generator was paid for through LCWPC funds.
