Final paperwork is being submitted with the Logan County Board of Elections today to place an income tax renewal on the upcoming ballot for West Liberty-Salem schools.
School board members at a special meeting Tuesday approved a resolution to place the 1 percent income tax before voters May 7. The three-year income tax would raise $1,124,402 for current operating expenses.
Logan and Champaign County voters last approved the levy May 4, 2010. The existing income tax expires at the end of 2013.
