Wood debris available to the public

Pickup is noon to 3 p.m. each Friday

Tree debris removed from streams, parks and roadways in Logan County collected by virtue of the National Emergency Grant will available for public consumption free of charge beginning at noon Friday, Feb. 8, and each Friday thereafter at the Bellefontaine Armory, 1021 S. Main St.

Logs and wood debris will be located inside the fence of the Logan County Fairgrounds next to the Armory. Those seeking wood should enter the fairgrounds from the Lake Avenue entrance. NEG personnel will be at the site to supervise loading and may be able to assist loading dump-trucks and trailers. However, citizens must be prepared to load their own vehicles and are responsible for loading their own vehicles.

Wood may be collected until 3 p.m. each Friday as long as the supply lasts.

Each driver entering the Fairgrounds to load wood must sign a release form to have access to the wood.

Logs will be available on a first come first served basis and only available on Friday afternoons. No chainsaws may be used to cut or trim wood at the loading site or anywhere else on the fairgrounds property.
