Canby remains on opportunity list

Bellefontaine’s Canby Building is one of Ohio’s top opportunities for preservation for the second year in row, according to a list released this week.

Heritage Ohio, a statewide preservation and revitalization organization, put the Canby, which was built in 1913 as a dry goods store, on its fifth annual Top Preservation Opportunities list.

It is a designation that could help market the building, according to the Downtown Bellefontaine Partnership.
