Mary Rutan Foundation highlighted

The non-profit, fundraising arm of Mary Rutan Hospital was highlighted Thursday at a meeting of the Bellefontaine Kiwanis Club.

Mary Rutan spokeswoman Christie Barns discussed the primary purposes for the Mary Rutan Foundation, which is to create philanthropic relationships to support local charities and to promote health and wellness.

Other focuses of giving for the Mary Rutan Foundation include medical scholarships; charity care; medical equipment/technology; capital developments; and educational programs and services.
