Tractor driver causes crash

Wilbur Detrick, 73, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to yield from a private drive following a crash Friday afternoon in front of the Stony Creek Church of the Brethren, 3570 S. C.R. 31, DeGraff.

Mr. Detrick reportedly had been plowing the church parking lot with a tractor. He then drove onto C.R. 31 into the path of a northbound car operated by Daniel Meade, 17, of DeGraff.

Daniel took evasive action to avoid the tractor and drove off the right side of the road and struck a ditch and a mailbox.

No injuries were reported.
