LaRoche moves to Family Court magistrate post

Daniel J. LaRoche is moving behind the bench after 14 years as an attorney.

He was picked from eight applicants to fill a magistrate position with the Logan County Family Courts and starts his new job Monday.

Judge Michael L. Brady said Mr. LaRoche will primarily handle domestic relations cases and provide a good resource of criminal cases.

“When it came open, I became interested in it,” Mr. LaRoche said. “It’s something different ... a new challenge.
