Planting season may still be four months away, but the warm weather Saturday and a clinic in Zanesfield got dozens of local residents eager to get into their gardens.
Sponsored by the Logan County Farmers Market, the two-hour seed starting clinic featured presentations by Jason Wish of Wish-Well Farms, Sharene Rausch of Herb ’n Treasures, and Jan Dawson and Andy Reinhart of Jandy’s.
While organizers only planned for about 20 participants, about 50 signed up to attend the clinic, Chloe Manor of the farmers market said. It was funded by a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant to promote the activities of farmers markets.
