Benjamin Logan Middle School robotics teams competed recently in the Ohio Youth Robotics Central State District Tournament.
The Mops earned the Regional Ambassador Plaque for commitment to the program, and the Inspiration Award for extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit during and outside of the tournament arena. Mops also received the alternate invitation to the Ohio FLL Championship Tournament.
Mops team members include Chenhao Ma, Ray McCormick, Jada Orahood, Logan Phillips, Kayla Stafford and Nathan Coffield.
Three Barbies and a Couple of Kens also competed and include Taylor Keene, Jamzine McKeene, Kayla Null, Bryden Penhorwood and Nick Ridge.
The high school’s FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team placed third out of 22 teams from four states to advance to regional competition in Cincinnati next month. Members included Sean Daugherty, Jenna Hardin, Connor Hill, John Hardin, Micah Lange, Nick Mobley and Mara Robinson.
