West Liberty man indicted for phone threats

William Kyle, 53, of West Liberty, was indicted Wednesday by a Champaign County grand jury on one count of disrupting public services and two counts of inducing panic stemming from Dec. 13 incident in which he allegedly made telephone threats to harm Champaign County Child Support Enforcement Agency employees.

Champaign County deputies responded to the Champaign County Community Center that day in response to the threats and logged an additional threat directed at Champaign County Family Court personnel during the investigation.

With assistance from West Liberty police, Urbana officers arrested Kyle, who was lodged in the Tri-County Regional Jail.
