Ridgemont Local Schools hosted a community meeting last week to unveil design plans for the district’s Ohio School Facilities Commission project to build a new grades pre-K through 12 school.
The new school, which will be constructed on land located along State Route 273 on the western edge of Mt. Victory, will include a café design for the cafeteria, a gymnasium, lab areas for agriculture and science classrooms, extended learning areas, and small group rooms geared for individual and small group instruction.
Classrooms also will feature moveable walls to allow for multi-age work, collaboration and co-teaching.
A “community square” included in the building plans will offer walking programs open to area residents.
