Wapak school evacuated for bomb threat

WAPAKONETA — Wapakoneta Middle School was evacuated Thursday morning after an apparent bomb threat was left on a desk in a hallway by an 11-year-old girl, according to local reports.

Officials said students were evacuated from the building and transported to the Wapakoneta Performing Arts Center while the Allen County Regional Bomb Squad searched the building.

Nothing suspicious was found. Police said criminal charges will be filed.
