Ronald E. Bennett, 59, of Harrod, and Robert D. Baker, 64, of rural DeGraff, each was issued a summons for disorderly conduct following an incident on a local roadway Sunday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Nash Finch parking lot, 4067 County Road 130, about 2:40 p.m., where they spoke with the two individuals.
Mr. Baker reported he had been operating a southbound car on State Route 117 south of Lima when Mr. Bennett’s southbound semi-tractor trailer passed him on the right and reportedly cut him off, forcing him into oncoming traffic.
Mr. Baker said he followed the semi on S.R. 117 and then passed the semi just north of State Route 366 so that he could identify the driver.
Both vehicles then drove into the Nash Finch parking lot, where an argument ensued. Mr. Bennett alleged that Mr. Baker opened a pocket knife during the incident.
Mr. Baker said he pulled the knife out of his pocket but did not open it after Mr. Bennett pushed him.
