Decision on Buckeye II expected by spring
There won’t be any physical turbines erected in Champaign County in 2013, however, Buckeye Wind officials say that doesn’t mean construction to install 70 industrial wind turbines in the eastern part of the county won’t begin this year.
Turbine components have not yet been ordered, project manager Jason Dagger said.
“It’ll be more economical for us to make one order for Buckeye Wind, and then once we get the go ahead, for Buckeye II Wind Farm,” Mr. Dagger said.
“I wouldn’t expect to see turbines go up this year.”
