The Hi Point Women’s Center hosts its annual Sanctity of Human Life Banquet from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Bellefontaine First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave.
The guest speaker will be Stanley Jackson, a former Ohio State quarterback, who will share his personal experience of abortion while attending OSU. A complimentary dinner will be served.
The event also falls on the day that marks the 40th year anniversary of when the Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton decisions were handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Hi Point Women’s Center has a mission of providing practical assistance to women dealing with an unplanned pregnancy or threat of abortion. The center is temporarily operating out of First Friends Church after the office at 110 N. Detroit St. sustained storm damage during the summer.
Updates about the center will be provided during the event, including current financial needs and upcoming program offerings such as parenting classes.
Make reservations at the center’s Web site, www.hipointwomenscenter.com, or by phone, 592-7734.
