Retiring director, board members recognized

The International Friendship Center Board of Directors recognized the organization’s recently retired executive director and retiring board members Bill Montgomery and Dennis Showalter for their years of service during the December meeting.

Mrs. Thomas served as executive director for 11 years, and has worked at the IFC since 1994, when she taught English for Speakers of other Language classes.  Members report that Mrs. Thomas provided “consistent leadership to the IFC during times of major transition. Her flexibility and diligence kept our doors open and English classes running during downsizing and two office moves.”
