Members of the Quincy-DeGraff Joint Sewer Board narrowed down a list of potential full-time operators Monday during a regular meeting at the wastewater treatment plant.
The board is scrambling to find a full-time replacement after the sudden resignation of former wastewater operator Ken McAlexander late last month.
Nine applicants have submitted resumes thus far, board member John Hickman said. The board entered into executive session to discuss the applicants. It intends to schedule interviews with “five or six” of the top candidates as early as Saturday.
“I think we’ve got some fairly well-qualified people,” Mr. Hickman said.
