Logan County’s Water Pollution Control District has undertaken a project to line about 630 feet of sanitary sewer mains running under Orchard Island bridge on State Route 708 in Russells Point.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is funding a $936,000 replacement project of the 1961-era bridge which includes improving utility lines running under the 86-foot span.
WPC Superintendent Chris Clark said when the 18-inch sewer main was reworked, it exposed leaks in the mains leading up to the bridge.
