The two candidates vying to represent three Logan County townships in Columbus sparred Wednesday evening during the Logan County Branch of the American Association of University Women’s candidate forum.

Robert Cole Sprague, an appointed Republican incumbent, and his Democrat challenger John Kostyo, both of Findlay, tackled the topics of job creation and the economy, the state of education, alternative energy sources and a local question about Indian Lake and the state parks system.
The two seek to represent the redrawn 83rd District, which will include Bokescreek, Richland and Rushcreek townships along with Hardin and Hancock counties.
