A Kenton woman was arrested after she pushed past an officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department in an attempt to re-enter a bar around 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
Margaret Ward, 38, of Kenton, was charged with aggravated menacing, persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Officers were dispatched to Comfort Inn, 260 Northview Drive around 2:20 a.m. and found her among a crowd of people, yelling and trying to get back inside.
She ignored officers’ warnings to quiet down and leave. A male escorted her away, but she broke free and pushed past an officer to get at a hotel clerk.
The officer forced her outside to arrest her and she began to fight back. She was taken to the ground, but continued to resist.
The officer then used pepper spray, but it further enraged the suspect who continued to kick and cuss at the officer even after she was in handcuffs.
While en route to the Logan County Jail, she threatened to kill the officer.
Once at the jail, she was placed in a restraint chair.
