BLHS graduate receives Knowlton scholarship

West Mansfield resident Kirsten N. Milton is the first recipient of a new Wilmington College scholarship established in memory of former Logan County businessman/philanthropist Austin E. Knowlton.

Ms. Milton, a 2012 Benjamin Logan High School graduate, is a freshman at WC majoring in agriculture and biology. She received a $5,000 scholarship.

High school students in Logan County are eligible to apply for a special scholarship to attend Wilmington College. The Austin E. Knowlton Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a Logan County student that plans on majoring in mathematics or a related field at the college.
