The annual Adriel Benefit Auction is slated for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Yoder Activity Center, 500 N. Detroit St., West Liberty.
Doors open at 8 a.m. for breakfast and a preview of items.
Also, a preview and soup supper are offered Friday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Yoder Activity Center.
Items to be auctioned include quilts, comforters, wall hangings, other fabric arts, wooden furniture, crafts, artwork and handmade jewelry. The items can be previewed on Adriel’s Facebook page.
A silent auction also is planned, featuring specialty baked goods and desserts.
In addition, for those who cannot attend the auction but would like to place a bid, a silent bidder card is available on the Adriel’s Web site, www.adriel.org. The bids must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Oct. 18 by e-mail.
Adriel, founded as an orphan’s home by the Mennonite Church in 1896, is a not-forprofit agency that provides foster care, adoption, and residential treatment services for children who have been abused and neglected. The agency is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health, accredited by COA, and is a Certified Teaching Family Sponsor Site.
With offices in West Liberty, Archbold, and Dublin, Adriel serves more than 400 children each year.
