A woman from Galloway was claimed in a vehicle crash about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Route 36 at the intersection of Ludlow Road in Champaign County.

Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol report that Stephanie White, 37, was transported by CareFlight helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where she later died.

She was operating a northbound car on Ludlow Road that failed to stop at a stop sign. Her vehicle was struck by an eastbound commercial truck on U.S. 36 operated by Robert Zoeller, 57, of New Albany, Ind.

The commercial truck traveled off the north side of the roadway, struck a utility pole and a forklift before coming to rest. The car traveled off the south side of the roadway and struck a telephone junction box.

Two children, ages 6 and 7, who were passengers in the White vehicle, were transported by Mechanicsburg squad to Mercy Hospital in Urbana for non-lifethreatening injuries. Mr. Zoeller did not report any injuries.
