Three defendants sentenced to prison

Three defendants were sentenced to prison, another to local jail for aiding an escaped juvenile and two others pleaded guilty Monday in Logan County Common Pleas Court.

• Kevin Duncan, 30, at large, was sentenced to five years in prison and three years’ post release control for a second-degree felony charge of robbery.

Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark S. O’Connor levied an additional 22-month prison sentence for violating a previous post-release control sanction that originated from a felony conviction for possession of drugs out of Clark County.

• Preston Adkins, 34, of 316 E. Auburn Ave., was sentenced to three years in prison and three years’ post-release control for aggravated robbery.

As part of a previous plea agreement, prosecutors will not oppose the defendant’s judicial release and transfer to the West Central Community Based Correctional Facility after 18 months.
