Residents of Luther Manor are trying to repay the kindness of a stranger who dropped off a cooler of ice and beverages June 30 in the wake of a power outage following a damaging severe windstorm the night before.
The facility had been without power since the storm struck early the night before.
Resident Robert Powell said a woman in a black extended cab pickup stopped and asked if the facility could use some ice. She soon returned with the cooler and the drinks.
Because they did not get her name, they have been unable to return the cooler and she has not returned to retrieve it.
Mr. Powell hopes she will come forward and stop at 1108 Greenwood, or call manager Debbie Walters, 592-8808.
Power was restored at the facility late in the afternoon of June 30.
