Indian Lake High School graduates Brooks Houser and Samantha Faulder, both 22, appear on Shedding for the Wedding, which premieres at 9 tonight on The CW Network.

In an online interview that appears on The CW Web site, www.cwtv.com, the New Hampshire, Ohio, residents explained some of the impetus for wanting to be contestants on this show.

“A wedding is a huge thing in your life, and we want to look back at our pictures to see that we’re the way that we wanted to be,” Mr. Houser said.

“We don’t go dancing. We don’t go out and do a lot of things because we’re worried about what people think sometimes.

“We want to completely remake ourselves. We want to be as healthy as we can.”

“We’re hoping that Shedding for the Wedding kind of changes our lives,” Ms. Faulder agreed.

Ms. Faulder, who weighed 221 pounds at the start of the show, related that she has a goal of losing about 60 pounds. Her fiancé wants to lose about 100 pounds from his starting weight of 315.
