The Pirates, who had already clinched a share of the league crown, overwhelmed the visiting Irish 79-20 to wrap up the outright championship.

Riverside finishes the regular season at 13-7 overall and 6-0 in the NWCC. Waynesfield-Goshen took second in the league standings with a 5-1 mark.

“I am really proud of the girls and I am especially happy for the three seniors,” said Riverside head coach Dean Sanford. “One of their goals was to win a league title and I am thrilled that they had the opportunity to do that.”

It was the perfect sendoff for Riverside seniors Amelia Carter, Abby Heaberlin and Megan McGowen. The trio combined for 38 points in their final home game.
