Commodores ride fast start to 77-51 win in NWCC gameLima Perry got off to a hot start Thursday against host Riverside and never looked back as it rolled to a a 77-51 Northwest Central Conference victory.
The win helps the Commodores claim at least a share of the NWCC title with a 6-1 league record. They are 10-6 overall. Lima Temple Christian is currently 5-1 in the league and plays Upper Scioto Valley tonight to determine the final league standings. A win for the Pirates would have given them a piece of the league title. Instead, they are now 5-2 in league play and 7-11 overall. “It just seemed like we were out of sync on offense,” said Riverside head coach Nathan Millice. “It was hard to come back when you are in a shooting slump like we were.
