Ahead of the storm

While selection was dwindling, Tinsley's Market at Midway, Lakeview, was still supplying patrons Tuesday with the necessary supplies as the area prepared for the ice and snow mix weather authorities were calling for overnight. Assistant managers Peggy Lawson, left, and Ashley Savage and employees worked to keep the shelves stocked with the ‘hot’ commodities, noting that water, milk, bread, eggs and baby formula were in high demand. Store officials also said on a normal day, the store sells about 40 pounds of hamburger, but some 300 pounds went out the door Monday and Tuesday, likening it to a July 4 weekend.
