Riverside dominated the second half to top host Lima Perry 58-35 on Thursday in girls Northwest Central Conference basketball action.

The Pirates improve to 9-6 overall and 4-0 in the NWCC, while the Commodores are now 2-12, 2-3.

Thursday’s win, coupled with a loss by Fairbanks to Waynesfield-Goshen, gives the Pirates sole possession of first place in the NWCC standings.

Perry put up a good fight in the first half as the Pirates led by five (25-20) at halftime.

However, Riverside got the offense rolling in the second half. The Pirates led 44-32 after the third quarter and outscored the Commodores 14-3 in the fourth quarter.
