There was no slowing down Riverside’s boys basketball team Tuesday evening at West Liberty-Salem High School.
The Pirates came out with a jolt of energy and kept that momentum the entire night to post a 62-54 win over the host Tigers in a local non-league contest. Riverside (6-8) picks up its second non-conference win of the season and its third straight victory. The Pirates never allowed the Tigers (5-8) to take the lead. “The boys played a wonderful game tonight,” said RHS head coach Nathan Millice. “They came out and played with a lot of heart and excitement. “It was our second non-conference win and it was an important win. We have a big league game on Friday so I told the guys at halftime it was important to keep up the tempo. We needed to get in the win column and build some momentum.” For the full story and game stats, pick up a copy of Wednesday's Bellefontaine Examiner. CLICK HERE to subscribe. |
