Riverside’s boys basketball team is one win closer to claiming a Northwest Central Conference championship after rolling past Upper Scioto Valley 52-32 on Friday.

The win improves RHS to 5-8 overall and keeps the team perfect in the NWCC at 4-0. USV falls to 1-10, 1-2.

“We had good ball pressure along with a good effort on defense,” said RHS head coach Nathan Millice. “Kyle Baughman led the offense and  Shane Wilcoxon and Bryce Hodge played with a lot of effort for us.”

The first quarter got off to a slow start as neither team scored in the first four minutes of the game. Riverside eventually got its offense rolling and led 13-6 by the end of the first quarter.
