Baughman, Worrell power Riverside past Irish 78-58

Riverside’s duo of Kyle Baughman and Justin Worrell was too much for host Marion Catholic to handle Friday as the Pirates cruised to a 78-58 win in Northwest Central Conference action.

Baughman, a senior center, led Riverside with 28 points, six rebounds and three steals. Worrell, a sophomore forward, had 25 points and nine rebounds.

The Pirates improve to 4-8 overall and they stay perfect in the NWCC at 3-0. The Irish fall to 4-5, 0-2.

“The boys played real well tonight,” said RHS head coach Nathan Millice. “We put some pressure on their guards and our guards did a great job dishing the ball off.
