Everyone got in on the fun for Riverside’s girls basketball team Thursday night.
Five players scored in double figures and seven players scored at least six points as the visiting Pirates overpowered Ridgemont 87-44 in a Northwest Central Conference contest. The Pirates improve to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the NWCC, while Ridgemont falls to 1-3, 0-1. “It was a well-balanced scoring attack,” said Riverside head coach Dean Sanford. “The girls shot the ball well from behind the arc in the first half and we stepped up the full-court defense in the second half to force turnovers. It was a great team effort.” For the full story and game stats, pick up a copy of Friday's Bellefontaine Examiner. CLICK HERE to subscribe. |
