The Indian Lake High School media center now offers students a new online card catalog known as Cat 2.0, with several new features, including the ability to renew items online and reserve items.

“Just like at the public library, students will also be able to reserve items that are already checked out,” related media center leader Betsy Shoffstall, and when the requested item is returned, library staff are alerted to “hold” the book for the next student. Students also can renew items and view their account online using personal PIN and ID numbers, as well as access recommended reading titles, best sellers and most popular lists. For the more recent titles, other enrichment options include professional reviews, illustrated book covers, and additional information from book jackets. New features also include a visual search and an advanced search option with ways to narrow searches. Students and staff may access the online card catalog 24/7 from the high school Web page. |
