Riverside’s football team turned in a balanced offensive effort against host Upper Scioto Valley on Friday and the result was a 23-12 win in Northwest Central Conference action.
The Pirates are now 4-4 overall and 3-2 in the NWCC. The Rams fall to 4-4, 2-3. “It was a good game for us,” said RHS head coach T.R. Doty. “We came out fired up and caused a fumble early in the game. That got things rolling for us. It was a great team effort from everyone. “I was also pleased to see the balanced effort on offense. We tried to keep USV off-balance all night and it seemed to work well for the entire game.” Riverside had 130 yards rushing and 178 passing for 308 yards of total offense.
