Riverside scored via offense, defense and special teams en route to a 56-0 pasting of host Marion Catholic on Friday in Northwest Central Conference football action.
The Pirates improve to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the NWCC, while Marion Catholic slips to 1-6, 1-3. “We wanted to come out and jump on them early and we were able to do that,” said Riverside head coach Tim Doty. “Our big goal coming into the game was to get a shutout. We had not had one yet this year, so we are excited about that.” Riverside jumped out to a 35-0 lead after one quarter and the Pirates led 56-0 at halftime. |
