Zanesfield resident Page Mays received the two highest hunting honors offered for Safari Club International members during the recent 2010 SCI Hunters Convention in Reno, Nev.

Mays was given the World Hunting Award ring and the Conservation and Hunting Bronze Award.
The SCI has more than 50,000 members. It is considered the largest big game hunting organization in the world. The goal of the organization is to protect hunting freedom and promote global wildlife conservation and humanitarian services.

This year, nine members received the ring and four earned the bronze award.
Mays was the only honoree to receive both awards.

Since retiring in 1995, Mays has made 90 big game hunting trips to 25 countries and entered more that 200 species into the SCI record book.

In addition, he and his wife Grace have made donations to many conservation projects.
