Zanesfield resident Page Mays, shown with a Rocky Mountain big horn sheep he took in September in Wyoming, recently received two prestigious awards at the 2010 Safari Club International Hunters Convention in Reno, Nev. Zanesfield resident Page Mays received the two highest hunting honors offered for Safari Club International members during the recent 2010 SCI Hunters Convention in Reno, Nev. Mays was given the World Hunting Award ring and the Conservation and Hunting Bronze Award. This year, nine members received the ring and four earned the bronze award. Since retiring in 1995, Mays has made 90 big game hunting trips to 25 countries and entered more that 200 species into the SCI record book. In addition, he and his wife Grace have made donations to many conservation projects. |
