Grammy Award winning singer songwriter Barbara Bailey Hutchison performs during a 2 p.m. Saturday show for children at the Holland Theatre. Ms. Hutchison blended educational messages and kid-friendly lyrics with works such as Shel Silverstein’s poem, Limits and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake during the hour-long show. Combined with a 7:30 p.m. adult show, the two performances made about $1,540, a portion of which will go toward the theater’s ongoing restoration project. The Detroit native won a 1996 Grammy Award for Best Musical Album for Children for her collaboration with producer J. Aaron Brown on Sleepy Time Lullabies.
